Mother’s Day is May 12th. Moms do everything for their families. Why not have a special day to shower her with love? Also, a day to do things for her. Why not show your love for your mom by making her a gift she can cherish for a long time?
Painted terracotta pots
- Terracotta pot (2.5 inches)
- Acrylic paint
- Paint brushes
- Varathane Ultimate Spar Urethane Water-Based Exterior Spray (Clear)
Have an adult spray the inside and outside of the terracotta pot. When spraying your pot, do it outside in a well-ventilated area and not on a windy day. Spray the pot the night before you want to paint it. Make sure the spray is completely dry.
Have your child pick out some colors to paint the pot. They can do any design they want on the pot. They can even write something on the pot. Paint only the outside of the pot.
Once the paint is dry, then spray the outside and bottom of the pot to protect the paint from the rain and watering the plant.
Once the pot is complete, you can put a plant in the pot to add more color for your mom.
