Although these recipes are suitable for children, adult supervision is necessary for any steps that involve the stove, oven, or sharp objects.

First up, heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast! 

Do you want to prepare the most amazing breakfast ever? This heart-shaped pancake will make you grin from the first bite on Valentine’s Day!

Ingredients  

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

3 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 large egg

¾ cup milk

2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions 

  1. In a large measuring cup or mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
  2. Add egg, milk, and butter; mix well.
  3. Add non-stick cooking spray or melted butter to griddle and heat to medium-high (350 degrees F)
  4. Scoop batter onto a hot griddle
  5. Cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes; flip and cook on the other side until browned.
  6. Serve immediately with butter, syrup, powdered sugar, or any of your favorite toppings.

 LunchTime fun: DIY Heart Pizza Lunchable Who needs store-bought when you can make your own special Valentine’s lunch?

Ingredients 1 serving

1 Tortilla (Any size)

Pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce 

Shredded cheeses (your choice)

Pepperoni 

Instructions 

  1. Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out as many hearts out of your taco shells as you can. 
  2. Put the hearts into a container.
  3. Put a few spoonfuls of sauce into a container. 
  4. Put a few handfuls of cheese into a baggie. 
  5. Count out one or two pepperoni per heart shape you are putting in the lunch. If feeling adventurous, cut the pepperoni into hearts.
  6. Then put the pepperoni into a baggie.

Ingredients 1 serving 

Grilled Cheese 

2 slices of bread of your choice

Velveeta (slices depending on the side of your bread)

Butter or Mayo 

Tomato Soup

1 Campbell’s Ready to Serve Tomato Soup 

A few sprinkles of taco cheese or cheddar cheese

½ teaspoon of Italian seasoning   

Small shell pasta (optional) 

Instructions 

  1. Cut out a heart shape out of the two slices of bread. 
  2. Butter or put mayo on one side of each of the hearts. 
  3. Put Velveeta between the 2 pics of hearts with the butter or mayo sides on the outside. 
  4. If making pasta, boil water. Do NOT add salt to the water. 
  5. While water is boiling, heat a cast-iron skillet.
  6. When water is boiled, add pasta and cook for 6 minutes 
  7. Once heated, grill your sandwich to a golden brown color on both sides. 
  8. While cooking your grilled cheese, heat your tomato soup in the microwave for 30 seconds, then add Italian seasoning. Then cook for another 30 seconds. 
  9. After putting the soup into a bowl, add your pasta and cheese.
